Mega Vegas...

Got the results from week two and it's not pretty.. Week 3 was even worse but I'll post those #'s at a later date. Man I HATE freshly oiled lanes. Takes 2 games to figure out the pattern. Had a good time with the exception of having to remind Sal it was his turn to bowl every time he was up. Christine's daughter is more disciplined. I'm all for having a good time but when you're not watching what's going on, you mess up things for everyone else. Secondly, you don't give instructional tips to a gal in the next lane who just handed you your ass on the scoreboard. Especially when someone on the next lane is waiting on you. Embarrassing to be sure. Anyway, enough of the Sal rant. Christine started off very well. She's getting the hang of her new ball. Her Mom Charlie however squeaked out a one pin advantage in both of the first two games. Handicaps are a wonderful thing. The pics that follow are of Christine, (center) her daughter Cassandra and of her Mom Charlie (Charlene).. Photogenic bunch eh? Mom hangs in there and is the catalyst of the bunch. The voice of reason. Maybe she'll be able to get Sal to slow down on the beers every so often.. NOT!!! I'm doing Iced Tea and stinking the place up so I have to go to Plan B.

I'll let you know when I figure out exactly what that may be. Second shot is of Christine throwing the marble in her opening game. All apologies for the poor lighting but my camera doesn't do well indoors and I didn't want to distract her witn the flash. And lastly a scan of the league report. We have a really small league as we're connected to larger groups that bowl at other houses under the same ownership. Kinda neat actually. Forest needs to look into another web host where you can post league results from your existing scoring software. I know of one really good one that's dirt cheap. As you have probably surmised at this point we're not going to set any scoring records but it's all good. Getting a little excercise and socializing on a Monday night. We'll get 'em next week. Put up a link on the main page that will take you to the Mega Vegas Monday Results blog as well. This so we can look back and reflect on how poorly we throw...

He has no time to practice.. He'e there like 6 days a week but does quite a bit of facility maintenance work and pinchasing. Working all day and then trying to throw a decent score isn't easy. Especially on the freshly oiled surface. Beer makes it all good though.
