Dana Point Kayak Fishing Mafia Member "Flick" landed this sizeable halibut Saturday. The little fella weighed in at 40.6 lbs. He was participating in what I believe to be the last Fish'N'Que of the season put on by Perry C. of AllKayakFishing.com These guys sure have fun down there..
Here's a little stitch job I put together from shots taken out behind the Ocean Institute... Give it a click for the larger view...
Sharen Sutton checked in from Colorado with an email update. She has secured gainful employ in the field of procurement and has also picked up a new set of wheels. Seems to be doing just fine out there and is spending oodles of time with family members. Here's a shot of her hanging with her new hooptie.
Hope she makes her way back home for a visit one of these days. The second pic is from a little excursion she took to Pike's Peak. That's her brother Tony chillin' with her at the top of the hill.
That's pretty much it for now. Nothing terribly exciting to report. Stay tuned though I should have some blog fodder next week after the San Diego run with Gene.
Be well all,
-Scott

That was a pretty good pan of the beach... better than my crappy Petco Park pan job... =(
And damn, that's a big fish...
Beach pans are tough cuz the water is constantly moving.. I could have spent another hour playing with the water but it wasn't worth it.
